Documentação e ajuda do sistema BacPP

BacPP

BacPP Analyzer Guide

1. Sequence Preparation

You can enter your sequence in two ways:

FASTA file upload: Click "Choose file" and select your .fasta file.
Manual entry: Paste the sequence directly into the text field.

2. FASTA Format

Make sure your sequence is in the correct FASTA format:

>Sequence_name.
ATCGATCGATCGATCG...

3. Analysis

Click "Analyze" to process the sequence.

The result will be displayed with a probability of a given sequence be a promoter according to the sigma factor that recognizes them.

Input Data for BacPP

Supported Formats

FASTA File

BacPP accepts files in the standard FASTA format:

Accepted extensions: .fasta, .fa, .txt
Multiple sequences are supported
Maximum size: 10MB
Manual Input

You can paste sequences directly into the text field:

One or multiple sequences
With or without FASTA headers
Spaces and line breaks are ignored
Valid Characters

Only valid nucleotides are accepted: A, T, C, G, N

The results indicate the likelihood of a given sequence serving as a promoter.

IMPORTANT!

If the input sequence length exceeds 80 bp, BacPP slices the sequence and analyzes 80 bp at a time.
Therefore, for one sequence, it is possible to obtain more than one result.
You can choose the result according to your knowledge or the highest probability.

You can export the results to a .txt file.

Solutions for Common Problems

Format Error

Problem: "Invalid sequence format"

Solution:

Verify that the sequence is in FASTA format. Ensure it contains only A, T, C, G, N. Remove special characters.

File Too Large

Problem: Upload Error

Solution:

Verify that the file is less than 10MB. Split large files into smaller parts. Use compression if necessary.

Results Not Appearing

Problem: Analysis Does Not Finish

Solution:

Please wait for processing (this may take a few minutes).

Reload the page if necessary.

Contact us if the problem persists.
